Matylda graduated from the University of Poznan, where she specialized in gender studies. An alumna of the Polish National Film School, she has written and directed five short fiction films and several documentary works. She also edited three feature documentaries. Her short narrative film, Forever Mine, was screened at major international film festivals, including Cannes. Her first documentary feature film, My Sunnyside, premiered at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
