Summary by Anma Szczypinska (Head of Industry):
4 days of MDAG Industry, 4 pitching sessions, 37 projects, over 280 1-on-1 meetings.
We are honored to give a stage to these projects and support them on their production, festival, distribution, or development paths. A big thank you goes to the participants, partners, mentors, experts, decision-makers, audience, and guests. It's all of these elements combined that make the festival and MDAG Industry thrive and grow. We want to build a bridge between the CEE region and the West, following the principle: the more networking opportunities, the better. Cooperation is important to us not only across the region but also in the broader non-European context. We are waiting for all these films to be in circulation not only in different corners of Europe but also in the United States or Canada and other corners of the world.
Katarzyna Kostecka, CANAL+ Poland producer, speaks about the verdict: “On behalf of CANAL+ Poland, we present the award for a project DEKONSTRUKT that is just beginning its journey. What's important to us is giving a voice to the younger generation. The materials presented captivate with their freshness, bright energy in approaching a difficult topic, and interesting and bold form. We hope that this award will help with shooting in the coming months and will serve as motivation for further action. The CANAL+ award goes to the DEKONSTRUKT project.”
