The ‘City Screenings’ series: Are our Cities Welcoming?

after the screening of BUILDING VISION 2, dir. Diegi Breit Lira

Partner: The City Culture Institute Cinema in Gdańsk

The discussion, inspired by the film ‘Building Vision 2’, will focus on how we design and experience spaces in the Tri-City – Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot. Are our cities truly welcoming to everyone, from children to the elderly? We will examine how historical urban planning decisions have shaped today’s metropolis and what local challenges and opportunities define the quality of life in the region. We will also discuss contemporary urban trends and consider specific changes that can be made to ensure the Tri-City is better designed – more accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly on a day-to-day basis.

Guest:

Barbara Marchwicka – an architect by training. An urban planner by experience. Formerly Gdynia’s representative for public spaces and coordinator of Development Programmes at the UrbanLab | Social Innovation Laboratory, Gdynia.

Moderator:
