Meeting: Men’s Circles
after the screening of CONFESSIONS OF A SWEDISH MAN, dir. Hampus Linder
Partner: The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre
Following the screening, there will be a discussion with philosopher and cultural educator Paweł Pańca, focusing on contemporary understandings of masculinity. The discussion will begin with questions about male identity and the tensions between traditional norms and changing social expectations. We will also discuss the need for a space for dialogue where men can talk about their experiences, doubts and emotions.

Paweł Paniec is a philosopher, cultural facilitator, educator, and chair of the PROM Kultura Association. He runs projects for various age and social groups, especially those under-represented in mainstream society. He has led the Seaside Parents’ Club ‘Pokład’ and workshops for fathers and children called ‘Tato, a kto to?’”. Since 2022, he has co-led the ‘Community of Thought’ – weekly meetings for people who enjoy thinking, sharing ideas, and valuing diversity of thought. Initiatives from this community include ‘In the Shared Circle – Dialogues Between Men and Women’ and ‘In the Circle of Masculinity’. Since 2025, he has developed practices to enhance well-being through nature, inspired by the Finnish Forest Minds© method.
